PEACE IN THE MIDST OF CONFLICT

Peace in the midst of Conflict

To be peaceful in the midst of conflict,
you must create respect
for everyone’s ideas and experiences.

That creates emotional and physical safety
so that people know that they won’t be attacked
when they express themselves honestly.

When people are committed
to equality and mutual respect
disagreements do not result in separation,

but in dialogue and increased understanding.

REALIZE THAT THERE IS NO SAFE POSITION IN LIFE

Get rid of them! Kick your fears, excuses and reasons for procrastinating to the curb. It is time to act boldly on your own behalf! Decide to live a larger life! Refuse to play it small or safe. This is not a game. It is your life. Stop trying to please everybody else and make their life better. You can serve others best when you are centered and live a happy life!!

Create a bucket list of things that you have always wanted to do and then...get them out of the bucket! Visualize the places and create the experiences and memories that you want to have in this life. Next...work the list!! Figure out how to make them a reality!! Realize that there is no safe position in life. You cannot get out of life alive, so LIVE in the present NOW! You have GREATNESS within you!

SELF-BETRAYAL

Self-Betrayal

Who is responsible for the fact that you choose
to be with people who betray you?
Are they responsible or are you?

When you trust people who do not deserve your trust,
you get hurt.

And then, instead of seeing your error and learning from it,
you blame the person who betrayed you,
which shifts the responsibility inappropriately.

And when that doesn’t work,
you try to beat yourself up by engaging
in some kind of self-destructive behavior
like picking up a bottle, overeating,
or having promiscuous sex.

That way you get to punish yourself
without taking responsibility
for your role in what happened.

Better to take responsibility for the decisions that you make
and leave the self-crucifixion out.

If you have a pattern of attracting people
who treat you unfairly or unkindly,
then be more careful about whom you trust.

Let people win your trust over time.
Don’t give your power away to others
just because you want their love and approval.

Don’t depend on others to give you the love,
the approval, or the safety you need.
Give them to yourself and then you cannot be betrayed.
