EVERYWHERE AND NOWHERE

Everywhere and Nowhere

Nowhere is not a bad place.

It’s just the place you come to
when you no longer have “somewhere else” to go.

It’s just the place you come to
when you stop avoiding this moment
and realize that the journey
doesn’t have to do with anyone but you.

You are the subject: your thoughts,
your feelings, your words, and your actions.

Turn your attention here
and you stop running around like Don Quixote
fighting windmills.

You can be where you are
and address the origin of joy and suffering
inside yourself.

Enlightenment doesn’t involve
getting something you do not have.

It involves relinquishing a barrier you have placed
between yourself and truth.

It is not so much a finding of truth,
but a giving up of illusion.

IN CHARGE

In Charge

Your situation will never make you happy unless you choose to be happy. All the money in the world cannot change the way you feel until you change the way you feel.

No, your feelings do not alter the circumstances. Yet they radically change what you do with the circumstances.

If you feel optimistic, you will see the opportunities and seize them. If you feel despair, you will find plenty of reasons to confirm your feelings.

So which will it be? How will you choose to see the world, your life, your situation today?

For every person, crafting a life of quality and fulfillment is difficult work. Your attitude determines whether that work results in reward or punishment.

You’re in charge of the one factor that decides how to handle all the other factors. Choose the most beneficial outcome by choosing the most positive perspective.

CELEBRATE YOURSELF AND BECOME MORE COMFORTABLE

Celebrate yourself and become more comfortable expressing your truth and your feelings about what matters to you. Living is risky business. There is always the possibility of hurt and rejection. In order to experience love, you will risk being hurt. In order to find success, you will risk failure.

Playing safe is not an option if you want to experience the best that life has to offer. Starve your fears. Decide to live beyond anxiety and doubt. Make what you want greater than what you fear. You have GREATNESS within you!

REFRAINING FROM PROJECTION

Refraining from Projection

Nothing derails a relationship faster
than frequent excursions into guilt and blame.

Don’t forget the discipline you must bring
to your own life.

You are not always happy.
When you live alone, you have moments
of sadness, self-judgment, fear, anxiety;
you have feelings of unworthiness and failure.

You need to ride out these moments
and hold these thoughts and feelings compassionately
or you cannot function in life.

What makes you think that you won't have to do
the same thing when you are in a relationship?

The truth is you need to be even more compassionate
and responsible when you live with someone else.

That is because your egoic tendency
and that of your partner will be to blame each other
for your negative emotional states.

To refrain from this kind of projection
is one of the greatest challenges of relationship.

GET THE WORK DONE

Get The Work Done

Every effort you make, makes the goal feel more achievable. Celebrate each small victory by immediately going to work on the next one.

Every step you take creates more motivation to take the next step. If you don’t feel motivated to work, the very best thing you can do is get to work.

You are in control of what you do from moment to moment. Choose over and over again to exercise that control wisely.

Benefit your life by putting effective effort into it. Expand the richness of your whole world by giving your time, your thought, your focus, your action to make a difference.

Feel your feelings, enjoy them, learn from them, but don’t let them imprison you in complacency. Whether you feel like it or not, it’s in your best interest to make the effort.

Decide not to let the distractions, setbacks or excuses stop you. Get going, get the work done, and discover again how great it feels.
