YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH

You Can Make It Through

You can make it through this trouble. You can make it through this day.

Don’t take any of it personally. Do take it all in stride.

Fix your focus firmly ahead. Take a steady, solid step forward, then another.

Allow inner strength to flood every chamber of your being, of your awareness. Let love, beauty, possibility inspire you forward.

Join spirit, mind and body in harmony to make good things happen. Embody the progress you seek to make, feeling sweet satisfaction as it drives you to do more.

Life is as it is right now, and you can make it through. Take the steps, do the work, fulfill your promise, for that is what you do best.

KEEP YOUR THOUGHTS REAL

Keep Your Thoughts Real

If you let your mind wander too much, it can wander into some very dark places. Your thoughts can get so far away from reality that your life is impaired.

Yes, keep your mind open, let it run full throttle. But keep it on the pavement of reality.

You can literally think anything you choose to think, and those thoughts build upon one another. There is great power in your thinking, so use that power wisely.

One effective way to keep your thoughts focused where you want them to be focused is to write them down. That forces you to think about your thoughts rather than letting them build into obsessions.

Another useful tactic is to seek the feedback of others. If you have trouble explaining what you’re thinking, perhaps those thoughts are getting outside the bounds of reality.

Your thoughts have great power and influence over your life. Let them soar to the highest heights while also keeping them real.

There is a reason that you are still here. Be about the business of finding out why. Discipline yourself not to talk about what you do for a living...but focus your mind on what you are living to do!

Believe in yourself. You are the only person who has the ability to radically change your life. Focus your time and energy on increasing your belief in what is possible for you, building your skills and creating a network of achievement focused relationships.

Choose to be a powerful force in your own life and in the world. Make choices on a daily basis that will move you in the direction of what you want to create for yourself. Summon up the courage, the resourcefulness and the motivation to create a life that you can be proud of. Use your imagination, talents and abilities to live a life of purpose and make a greater impact. Live your legacy now. You have GREATNESS within you!!

WAITING FOR DIRECTION

Waiting for Direction

The best results occur when we stop trying
to force things to be the way
we think they should be.

When we try to force something to be different,
we often overcompensate
and create a new problem.

Sometimes it is better to just stop doing
what we know is not working
and take some time to re-center
and reconnect with the core truth within us.

Then the course of action we set
will be more organic, congruent, and meaningful.

We all need time to breathe and to be.
It’s a sacred time, a time when we gather
our power and our direction.

If we don’t take this time,
we may act prematurely or impulsively.
Our actions may lack creative power
or they may result in unfortunate consequences
we did not anticipate.

OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Obligations and Responsibilities

The obligation to do something is not the problem. The problem is your anxiety about it.

The responsibility you have is not the problem. The problem is your resentment of it.

Instead of trying to avoid obligations and responsibilities, focus on their benefits. They burden you only to the degree you see them as burdens.

Following through on your obligations will earn you respect. Upholding your responsibilities will give you influence with others.

Every person has a desire to matter, to make a difference. Obligations and responsibilities enable you to make a difference in a meaningful, positive way.

Choose to stop fighting, stop worrying, stop complaining about obligations and responsibilities. Embrace the great richness they can bring.

IT IS WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT

“It isn't what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.”

SUFFERING IS OPTIONAL

“Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.”

― Haruki Murakami, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running

THE PRESENT MOMENT

The Present Moment

Happiness unfolds only in the present moment.
If you are concerned about whether you will be happy tomorrow
or even five minutes from now,
you won’t be able to be happy now.

All of the chaos and confusion in your mind
can be transcended through your simple decision
to be wholly present and attentive right now.
That is the miraculous truth.

DON'T LET ANYONE STEAL YOUR DREAM

Do not let anyone steal your dream! The world is full of dream killers - people whose sole mission in life is to sabotage you and your dream. They look for ways to crush your energy and deaden your life force by highlighting uncertainty, reminding you of what you don't have or what you may need. They point out weaknesses, mistakes, setbacks and past losses when you turn to them for encouragement.

Sometimes dream killers appear in the faces of people closest to you and other times they whisper and hide out in the deep recesses of your own mind. Safeguard your mind. Preserve your energy. Do not answer them or entertain their conversations. Leave them alone! Say to yourself over and over again...I got this! I was born to win. Keep moving toward your dream and imagine the feeling of having accomplished your dream. Remember above all, do not let anyone steal your dream. You can make it happen. You deserve to win. You have something special. You have GREATNESS within you!

KEEP THE HORIZON OF A BETTER TOMORROW

CHOOSING YOUR THOUGHTS

Choose Your Thoughts

What are you saying to yourself with your thoughts? Does your self-talk keep you stuck where you are, or does it push you forward?

You can choose each of the thousands of thoughts passing through your mind every day. You can choose thoughts to encourage, inspire, enable and energize yourself.

Every moment you have the opportunity to say something beneficial to yourself with your own thoughts. Whatever the situation, you can make use of that opportunity.

Moment by moment, what you do and the way you do it flow directly from what you think. Positive, empowering thoughts lead to effective actions and valuable results.

What you think does not have to be an impulsive reaction. Instead, make it an intentional choice.

Your thoughts have great power. Remember always that you have the ability to decide what they will be.

STAMP OUT TOXIC & NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

Use your voice as a hammer to stamp out toxic, dis-empowering, negative thoughts that can come into your mind. You can not control the thoughts that come through your mind, but you can control the ones you choose to dwell on. Talk back to yourself and challenge the negative thinking that is robbing you of energy and focus.

Use your voice as an instrument to inspire you and to change the trauma into positive feelings. Look at yourself in a mirror and say "I love myself unconditionally." Do this daily for the next 21 days. You will experience a new love and appreciation for your higher self which will begin to express itself. Your mind and ego will tell you that this is foolish, childish, or that you do not need to do this. Do not be duped. Negative thoughts don't want to die and will struggle to remain alive.

Speak life to yourself with power, feeling and conviction. Choose positive words that will transport your mind to a new reality. You Deserve! You have GREATNESS within you!

EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE IS REAL

“Everything you can imagine is real.”

― Pablo Picasso

GUARD YOUR MIND

There is a force in you that is more powerful than the negative people, circumstances or environment where you find yourself. Make a conscious, deliberate effort to keep your mind above all the toxic conversations, attitudes and stresses surrounding you.

Guard your mind by immersing yourself in positive words, scriptures, music; as well as self-affirming healing conversations that will drown out the negative voices within your own mind.
Create a ritual of prayer, meditation, exercise, yoga, Tai Chi. Volunteer your time. Use whatever method you can to protect yourself from the drama, emotional vampires and energy drainers that will try to rob you of your peace.

There is a Presence within you where you can find joy, comfort, and inner strength to give you the capacity to handle whatever you are facing. You have something special. You have GREATNESS within you!!

THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU MUST DO

Thankful for what you must do

When there’s work you must do, your best approach is to be thankful for it. The more thankful you are, the less burdensome the task will be.

The effort is what you make it. You can make it a pain or you can make it a source of satisfaction and treasure.

If you’re resentful about what you must do and reluctant to get started, the person you’re hurting is yourself. There’s no good reason to be that way.

You have the power to immediately stop fighting the effort and start embracing it. Not only will you become more effective, you’ll also eliminate a completely unnecessary source of stress.

Sure, it’s easy to be thankful for the things you love and enjoy. Yet gratitude can be even more powerful when you apply it to situations, obligations and tasks you never asked for.

Be thankful for what you must do. You’ll be better at it, and a whole lot happier while getting it done.
